Hi all,

I have finally managed to check out Jacques Peron's lyluatex package (https://github.com/jperon/lyluatex) which allows to write LilyPond code in (Lua)LaTeX documents and have them automatically engraved during the LaTeX run. It provides automatic caching (so scores are only compiled if the content or the dimensions have changed) and passes the dimensions from the LaTeX document to LilyPond.

I also have got my first pull request merged, and now lyluatex can align scores to the paragraphs so that the staff lines completely fill the line while any brackets etc. protrude in the left margin. This looks great and is an appropriate default, but it raises further questions that should be discussed before continuing development. On https://github.com/jperon/lyluatex/issues/36 I have uploaded a detailed PDF demonstrating the feature and discussing the questions.

I would be happy about any feedback. As I have asked several communities it would be good to keep discussion as much as possible on the Github issue tracker.

Best regards
Urs
