I must confess that in my arrangements, I usually omit slurs on appoggiaturas but there is the danger that literal-minded musicians who are used to romantic-era scores with everything notated explicitly may mis-understand. For example they might omit cadential trills that are missing in the scores because in the baroque era they were understood to be essential.
