Don Simons has released PMX version 3.00: http://icking-music-archive.org/software/pmx/pmx300.zip
This version provides an option to remove the limit of 9 on forced beams. A side benefit of selecting the option is that all beams are vectorized and 2-digit figured bass figures are allowed. An easy-to-install package with a zipped texmf tree, Windows executables and a tar.gz file which can be processed on any Unix-like system with basic GNU tools and a C compiler is available at http://icking-music-archive.org/software/pmx/pmx-3.00.zip and at CTAN.org. It will soon be available in MikTeX and in TeXLive2023. Consult pmx-install.pdf for installation instructions. Bob Tennent
