It happened to me two or three times already that I tried to make a suggestion when somebody posted a problem but never got a reaction. Since the poster seemed to respond to every suggestion made, I was pretty sure that my messages never came through. I have stopped sending suggestions nevertheless. I’m a bit puzzled why I didn’t receive the original post in this series (without the “RE”). But I’m responding for a different reason. When I followed the Lilypond link, I came across the two-line example on the page https://lilypond.org/index.html . I immediately wondered how PMX would do with that example. The result was pretty good. It didn’t require any in-line TeX at all, but did need a few tweaks from the PMX defaults for vertical rest positions and horizontal note positions. All in all, pretty satisfying 😊. The PMX code and an image are pasted below. --Don Simons 2 1 4 4 4 4 0 -2 1 2 20 0 bt .\ h4i d43 r r2 | r8 d e g- fs4 a | d-8 d+1 c b8 c1 d e2 t // r2 r8 d84 e g- | fs4 g r8 a1 b c8 b1 a | b2 t b8 t bn1 a g8 a1 b / d44 r r8-6 d+1 c b8 c1 d | e8 d c e a-8 r r4 | r8 fs1 g a8 g1 f g2 t // fs84 d+ e g- f4 X.5S g | r8+7 X.5S a1 b c8 X.5S b1 a d8 r r4 | r2 r8 d1 e f8 e1 d / % e83 t e1 d c8 d1 e fs-8 a1 g f8 g1 a | d-8 d+1 c b8 c1 d e8 c a fs+ | g f e d c b a g | c a d d- g2 ofd // c44 r r2 | r0 | r8+7 d e g- fs4 g | r8 a1 b c8 b1 a bn2 / g24 t r8 d+8 e g- | fs4 g r8 a1 b c8 b1 a | bd4 g8 zbn a zc r g zd r | e4r zgr d zfs d2 // e45 t e1 t d c b a4 r8+8 e+1 d | c8 d1 e d8 en1 fs g8 f1 g a4 t | a8 t d- g f e d c bf | a2 g of / > -----Original Message----- > From: TeX-Music <[email protected]> > On Behalf Of Jean-Pierre Coulon > Sent: Saturday, October 11, 2025 6:07 AM > To: Werner Icking Music Archive <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [Tex-music] Are there still people able to expand the WIMA music > golssary ? > > On Sat, 11 Oct 2025, Bob Tennent wrote: > > > https://lilypond.org/glossary.html > > 2022 is better than 2009 :-) Hope I'll be able to send a message if something > is missing. > > Bye > > -- > Jean-Pierre Coulon > ------------------------------- > [email protected] mailing list > If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to > https://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music ------------------------------- [email protected] mailing list If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to https://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
