Hmm..., yes, there is a "dblatex" that translates DocBook to LaTeX.
But in referencing "dblatex" and "dbmlatex" I was referring to mk4ht
scripts that are part of a standard tex4ht installation. The latter
converts LaTeX math to MathML, while the former makes images.
