Follow-up Comment #2, bug #320 (project tex4ht):
1. as michal said on the mailing list, you need to run ooxelatex, not oolatex
(and i guess i need to reinstate the ooxelatex script in TL, sigh; would never
have guessed anyone was actually using it, which is why i removed it years
ago, along with many others).
anyway oolatex invokes pdflatex (as shown in the error messages from
fontspec) which is clearly not going to do what you want.
2. i hope the real problem turns out to be trivial - the ID byte version
number was incremented in xetex this year (as of TL'16) and so the tex4ht
source files probably need to recognize it. i will look at that as soon as i
have a chance. --karl
