It seems that the issue is caused by "\ ". I am not sure if it is
correct spacing command for math, the correct command for large space
is probably \; or \enspace. See the following article for more
information: https://texblog.org/2014/04/09/whitespace-in-math-mode/.
I don't know if it is possible to config "\ " to produce \enspace in
the MathJax configuration, it will be probably necessary to fix it in
the sources. Or ask on the MathJax support.
