Maybe it is possible to add a default HTF table to the tex4ht DVI processor?
I've tried to look at the source code if something is here already, but I
don't understand it at all.
"nofonts" cannot help, because it disables only insertion of the `<span>`
elements. The ligature is still in the DVI file, not separate characters.
