Of course, feel free to share this message. George ---------------------------- This is the announcement of a Friends of Karst (FOK) meeting planned for this fall in Arkansas. Most of you are familiar with FOK meetings held every year at GSA. However, there is an older tradition of FOK meetings that consist of a few days of camping, talks, field trips, and caving. I was unaware of this tradition myself until a couple of years ago when Albert Ogden hosted such a meeting. To carry on this tradition of karst scientists gathering in an informal setting to share what we're working on and interact in the field, I am hosting a FOK meeting from September 17-21 near the Buffalo River in Arkansas. We have a fabulous location near the confluence of the Buffalo and Little Buffalo Rivers in the heart of one of Arkansas' best caving areas.
