Sorry for yet another email to clog up your inbox...to anyone planning on
attending the Greater Houston Grotto pre-meeting dinner tonight, we are
gathering for grub at SIX PM, not 7! However, people wander in as they can,
with work/traffic etc, so if you are planning on coming don't worry if you
can't be there right at 6.
Thanks cavers, have a great night!

Nasa has released an interesting image map of an area of the moon.
http://lroc.sese.asu.edu/gigapan/
Go to the scroll bar underneath the word "Gigapan"
if you click on the last photo link below the map called "Karpinskiy Fractures"
and zoom in ( and wait for the image to refresh ).
you will see a long canyon, that at least has some nice rappelling or
rock-climbing. Would you even need a belay ?
Looks like a nice place to look for minerals and hike.
My guess it is about the size of the Santa Elena Canyon
Feel free to correct me.

Ninety-nine percent of y'all are probably too young to remember the term
"Hootenanny," a folk singer era term for an informal gathering of musicians to
jam or perform individually. Some music would be nice for the TSA Spring
Convention, so I'm going to invite musicians of whatever stripe (guitar, banjo,
cello, fife, clarinet, grand piano, etc.) to bring your instruments for a
Friday Night Hoot around the campfire at CWAN. Drummers, bring your drums, and
we can add a hippie drum circle, too!

I can't resist. I'll be there (at least to listen).

Fritz,
Adjust those hearing aids, they said they wanted an old-style hoot, not a bunch
of old coots. :)

what happens when you copy from Facebook and then paste into the list. Here's
what I posted turned into legible plain text (I hope)
