I seem to recall a caver posting something after the collapse that the museum
would fair better as a sinkhole attraction ? ( just tooting my horn )
On a non-related note,
if any of you are unfortunate enough to be in Houston tomorrow,
Saturday, June 28th, I am finally having my 50th birthday shindig.
It is a informal quick lunch. Email me privately for details.
And on the other post, the former GHG member that was injured
was Mark Stevens, not Terry Scoggins.
I joked with Mark yesterday, that he was texting while taking down his
Christmas lights in May, but he didn't seem to appreciate my humor.
He said the
ladder fell.
The rest of this post is personal, so this is a good time to hit the

a shot of the pool I just installed in my office-apartment near
downtown Houston,
which has the best view of the new MetroRail train. The purpose of which is
for any cavers to come over and relax.
