In defense of Kiwi Cave, the small underground passage began to form naturally probably a hundred thousand years ago. The breakdown in the cave passage is typical. Sometime a few thousand years ago, the roof of a tiny room in the cave opened up allowing fill to wash in. Then it collapsed. It will take generations of cavers to remove the fill and the breakdown from the cave. But someday, the biggest cave in Hays County will be found there. Something paleontological could possibly be found someday. Right ? I would bet one could find a caver with a background in geology, that can confirm the speleogenisis of the future Kiwi Caverns.
I will not.dig anymore in 2013 due to issues on the homefront. But I encourage you all to "safely" dig there. I can report that I did attend the previously posted caver garage sale.
