Howdy TCMA Supporters! It has been a busy summer, with caving, the International Conference of Speleology, the National Speleological Society Annual Convention, and many other cave-related activites. Now that fall is here, it is time for meetings, parties, and more caving!
*Texas Cavers' Reunion (TCR)* (next weekend!) *October 18-20, 2013* A *TCMA members' meeting* will be held Sunday morning at *9am*. Come hear about what the board and other volunteers have been working on recently. The TCMA will be providing a *fundraising breakfast* on Sunday morning at * 7:30am*. Volunteers needed! Please contact John Brooks ([email protected]) if you are interested in helping cook or clean up. The TCMA will also have our *booth* up all day on Saturday, come by and check out our goodies. Volunteers needed! Please contact Saj Zappitello ([email protected]) if you are interested in helping sell t-shirts, etc. *Board of Directors Elections* *November, 2013* Please make sure that your membership is up to date and your current email address is on file. Look for an electronic ballot to vote for next year's new Directors at the beginning of November. Paper ballots are also available, by request from the database committee. *TCMA at NCKMS in Carlsbad* *November 4-8, 2013* For the first time, this year the TCMA will have a representative at the National Cave and Karst Management Symposium in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Hopefully this will generate more awareness and support of our mission. If you will be in the area, stop by our table for more information. *Ezells Cave Preserve Maintenance Day* *November 9, 2013* beginning at *9am* The Texas Cave Management Association (TCMA) will be sponsoring a work day to spruce up one of our properties, the Ezells Cave Preserve in Hays County. For more information, contact Ron Ralph ([email protected]). *Cave Trips* If you are interested in trips to our cave preserves, please contact your local grotto, as trips occur regularly to some of our preserves, including Whirlpool Preserve and Deep & Punkin Preserve.
