Per the Carlsbad newspaper the Lincoln National Forest has been reopened with Stage II fire restrictions remaining in place. The re-opening was effective as of 8AM this morning. Stage II restrcitions are basically no open flames and smoking only within an approved structure or vehicle. For information on which caves are open for recreational trips contact Jason Walz at 575 885-7426. Cottonwood, Hidden and Sentinel remain closed due to WNS related restrictions. Ken
