PBSS Meeting notes 08-09-11
The August meeting of the Permian Basin Speleological Society took place at
our very own Murray's Delicatessen and opened at precisely 7:00 p.m. In
attendance: Bill Bentley, Walter Feaster, Tony Abernathy, Kel Thomas, new
members Koyle Knape and James Franklin, and yours truly.
Treasurer Bill Bentley reports $619.56, $25 of which is cash. This was
before our new members and before Kel and Jacqui renewed. I do not care to
do the math but we now have more $$ than reported.
PBSS now has 21 members.
Bill and I reported on the Colorado Convention, which was most excellent.
PBSS's motion to the Congress of Grottos [to ask the NSS Board of Governors
(BOG) to consider accepting electronic versions of newsletters for
archiving] passed and the BOG has already started discussing the same.
We discussed future caving trips, including our Sonora dig. We are on for
Amazing Cave the weekend of August 20th and the list is currently Walter,
Bill, Koyle, Vern, David, Herman and a new caver, and possibly James and
Kel. Other trips are pending.
The meeting closed at 8:09 p.m.
