Dear all,
I've poured over the literature on home range estimates and foraging
ecology and I've been unable to find any documentation to support the
estimated foraging distances of Myotis sp. to be around 15 to 20
miles. I suspect there's information in the non-indexed literature,
but I haven't been able to locate anything yet.
I'm seeking references that discuss foraging distances of Myotis or P.
townsendii -- specifically in the western U.S.? I'm working on a
paper discussing the WNS backcountry decon methods that I and other
workers have developed, and we need references to shore up our
tentative 20 mile radius distance for zone delineation.
Any help y'all can provide will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
jut
