It is illegal now to impersonate somebody on-line.

Meaning if you post on CaveTex pretending to be David Locklear, you better
be damned funny.

Would it only be half illegal to impersonate someone online who noodles
catfish?

Can you noodle catfish from a helicopter?

Can you noodle feral hogs and coyotes?

So, if I get into the deep artesian zone of the Edwards Aquifer, can I noodle
the blind catfish? (just to make this cave related)

Allan, the virtual noodler

There's also a new law banning synthetic marijuana.  This means that any
Locklear online, real or otherwise, is not as likely to seem funny.

I enjoy most of this mindless chatter, even David's. But, if we don't switch it
to OT the "real" cavers and the CaveTex police are going to get us.

If you haven’t received the message below directly and are interested in
being on the e-list for the 16th International Congress of Speleology,
contact them at the address below. Planning for that ICS is in full swing. I
visited the congress site in April and it is superb. On a tight budget?
Camping is literally across the street from the venue, plus cheap dorms and
a variety of good hotels are within easy walking distance. Lots of great
caving is being offered! The Organizing Committee is made up of a bunch of
skilled and dedicated cavers who you’ll really like when you meet them. I
have a lead on some possibly very cheap airfare. I’ll send details in about
a year if it plays out.

I believe this next ICS has the potential to be the best ever. But it takes
good participation to make it so. I hope to see many of you there.

George

Correction-  The new "herp stamp" only applies to collecting along the public
right-of-way.  Otherwise, you just need a regular ol' hunting license.
