I was not one of the "whole" persons. I was not even operating at 80%, but I tried to pace myself and drink plenty of fluids. My cotton overalls where just to hot, and my heavy-duty construction boots were like lead weights to a scuba diver. Leather gloves were just too hot. I did not have the umphf to operate the breaker bar, but I was fine in one spot, as long as I didn't have to climb around.
Everybody dug super-hard, some barely breaking a sweat. I stopped diggin as soon as Gill left. But I did confirm that all of the first room passage is now in the twilight zone. Tiny bits of light are shining very near the presumed digging leads. I gave Kiwi an official bottle of NaturFest wine from a Brenham winery, Pleasant Hill. The main reason, I have been enthusiastic about this dig is that it sometimes fits into my work schedule, and is the closest cave to Arcola, that I have access to. To be continued ... David Locklear
