Just a heads up for those who visit the USFS Office in Carlsbad: They are in the process of moving out of the Federal Building and into what used to be the Border Patrol building. Their new address is 5203 Buena Vista Drive, which is sort of a frontage road just north of the Carlsbad Airport. You approach it from National Parks Hwy. Phone # remains 575-885-4181 (transition in process, may take a few phone calls to get a connection until transition is complete).
