Mal's family is! The dude did not have proof of ins. at scene of accident and
was driving a 2012 Fiat. a little search on google and the family learned this
dude had a DWI in Oct. Just met Mal's best friend from college, Dorothy Butler.
She is pissed and going to be a huge help legally to the family - not just w/
the jackass who hit her, but also with Mal's financials. She has an amazing and
diverse group of people helping her. Just learned she will need at least a year
of rehab. Very tough on the family. They keep saying that if this had happened
back home Mal would be dead - that's how good the treatment is here. Also
learned her uncle is a major superstar neurologist in NYC who trained her team
here. Small world. He's the one who told her mom to start preparing mentally
and financially for the long term recovery.
Kevin and Em just arrived. They will provide an update later.
