NaturFest officially starts at 8 p.m. on Friday night. Everything is in order this year. While that may be an exaggeration, it is a true statement under the circumstances.
There will be a few people camping Friday night. Not sure if any of them are cavers though, just the band and their roadies, and my family. Around noon on Saturday, someone will be needed to make a run to the HEB store to buy ice, food, etc, It is about 8 miles from camp, but there are closer stores that sell supplies. It would be helpful for everyone to bring an extra bag of ice. I will have a large ice-chest set up for all the attendees to share. My personal business affairs have been a huge distraction this week. I can't figure out why my customers can't wait till after NaturFest for their work to get done. What is wrong with those crazy people ?? Their clients have court dates on Tuesday, and their clients are expected to lose their commercial driver's license for 6 months, and they expect me to just drop my campground preparation plans this week for their petty problems. I am going to be difficult to reach. If you get to Camp Happy Hollow and the gate is locked and there is no sign of NaturFest, please do not worry. Just enjoy the scenery till I get there. I would like to emphasize that we have a storage unit nearby with extra camping supplies, so please don't worry too much about bringing stuff. I am sleeping out under the stars. Try hard to bring a bicycle, or some hiking boots. There should be some kind of charcoal grill, but that decision has not been made yet. ( There is a K-Bob's restaurant and a Mexican restaurant with party room just 5 miles from camp ) The event dinner is flexible enough that the decision will be made Saturday morning.
