Caverns National Park and NCKRI. Tom Bemis is the course coordinator. If you

Prior to attending the course, you will need to take the online ICS100 and 
ICS200 training available at

Tom will be able to provide an equipment list to those who are enrolled.

To all,
 
A two-day 16-hour cave rescue class is coming up fast! If you are interested, 
please send me a note with what cave experience you have and what cave rescue 
training you have completed.
The details of the class are listed below. It is an overview style class. It 
would be a good class for everyone interested in eventually being part of a 
cave rescue team or anyone who just wants basic rescue experience. Since this 
class is coming up fast, get back to me asap.
 
Class: Orientation to Cave Rescue

Prerequisite: Have completed at least 1 wild caving trip
Format: Class is to educate people who have no rescue experience, have other 
rescue experience, or for a refresher. The first day is classroom and hands-on 
exercises. The second day is a mock rescue in a cave.
Place: Carlsbad, NM (23rd held at National Cave and Karst Research Institute 
building, 24th TBA)
Cost: $25 (may be covered by LNF Cave Program)
Gear: Basic cave gear 
Housing: Guadalupe District Barracks may be available (1 hour’s drive from 
Carlsbad); travel is up to you
