Worked OK for me yesterday, too. But on two different days I saw that
slowing-down phenomenon. I had had a similar problem a year or so ago
that turned out to be my Wi-Fi thingy; evidently something in it was
overheating with heavy use. But that affected all long downloads, not
just the NSS site.
Just tried NSS site again, and got the same slowing down, but AMCS
downloads from your server work fine. Seems to come and go. It can't
just be a question of the load on the NSS site, because the slowing
down is steady and monotonic. Never speeds back up again, at least
during the few minutes I'm willing to watch the speed.
I think one of the NSS web people sees the Texas Cavers list. I
haven't heard anything from him about it. -- Bill
