This is a reminder that the next dig weekend at Grand Canyon Caverns is coming up on the weekend of March 9-11, 2012. We've got the Big House reserved, so there should be bunk space for everyone. If we run out of bunk space, there's also couch space and floor space. Bring your favorite implement of mass deconstruction. If you've got personal safety glasses, gloves, and earplugs: bring those too. I will be arriving sometime Friday in the late afternoon or early evening. We will work until Sunday morning, and be finished by lunchtime Sunday so everyone has a chance to get home in a timely fashion. The cafeteria is going to be open so we can eat there, but there's also a full kitchen and refrigerator in the house. We can cook food at the house, eat at the cafeteria, or head into Seligman for dinner. Grand Canyon Caverns is a privately owned tourist cave just off of historic Route 66, about 20 miles NW of Seligman, Arizona. Access to the dig is by elevator, concrete pathway, and finally down a 100' rubble slope. We have electricity at the dig face. We've been working this project for almost 7 years, and have an excellent relationship with the cave's owners. If you're interested in coming out for a good time busting up rocks underground, please let me know.
