T.R.,
If you are out there, I don't have your address and need your help. I bought
the rack you used on the first descent of Golondrinas at a TCMA auction a
couple of years ago, but it came in a box with other bits of equipment. I
want to include the rack and correct carabiner (there are five in the box)
in the museum exhibit that NCKRI is designing for its headquarters, and need
your input on what is or isn't historically significant among the other
stuff in the box. Please contact me off-list.
On the chance that T.R. isn't on CaveTex, if someone has his address please
send it to me.
Thanks,
George

Evening Cavers,
This afternoon I picked up a huge box from the USPS office that was shipped
from the Czech Republic. The box contains 50 t-shirts of varying size and 20
baseball-type caps that advertise the 16th International Congress of
Speleology. (yeah, I said 16th, not 15th ICS).
The shirts are white or black and come in XXL, XL , L or Medium. They appear to
be of the highest quality in material and screening, and I think they would be
a wonderful addition to anyone's caving t-shirt collection. On the front of
the shirts and the cap is the logo for the Congress. Go to their website if you
wish to get an idea of the design.
I do not yet have a price on the inventory, but as soon as I do I will provide
that information to everyone. First come, first sold - and no, I have not
figured out how we will distribute the items to you. You can consider this a
bit of a tease and as details become available I will update via Cave Tex. If
we do not sell out via Cave Tex I will send a similar note to other forums.
Stay tuned and Happy Caving,
Michael

Terlingua and Blair Pittman
Blair continues to slowly recover. A thoroughly off-topic link to a 2
1/2-minute brief video of some of our friends in Terlingua:
http://vimeo.com/27553175
This was taken before Blair's accident and has shots of Blair and the Villa (a
literal stone's throw fromTerlingua Sinkhole). Most was shot about 2000 yards
from our squat. We will be back in the spring. Visitor's welcome, but email
ahead to make sure we are there.
