David --

The policy of the NSS Events page is to limit entries to events of
regional or national scope that would appeal to a broad audience.
Event descriptions are limited to 2-3 lines.

Your event -- NaturFest -- gives no indication that it relates to
caving and is being held in a cave-free area. There is insufficient
space to describe what it is, and there is no website link to provide
that information; the FB page fails to provide much clarity. It is, in
fact, a weekend picnic being promoted by an individual caver. As
such, its appeal is to people in the Houston and east Texas area,
and that audience is already reached via TexasCavers. National
publicity via caves.org would do little to increase participation.

I regret that listed events must meet a threshhold, but if all caver
gatherings were included, the page would be overwhelmed and its
usefulness diminished.
