Folks,

I am pleased to announce that John Mylroie, Professor of Geology at Mississippi 
State University will be our next Distinguished Lecturer on Wednesday, April 13 
at SWRI.  The presentation will start at 9:00 am and run through 4:30 pm.  
Lunch will be provided.  Cost of the lecture is $20 and $10 for students.

John specializes in karst processes and Quaternary climate, Quaternary 
carbonate depositional systems, fresh-water lens on carbonate islands, cave 
development and speleogenesis and resource management in karst.  John is the 
recipient of the Lifetime Science Achievement Award and the Honorary Member 
Award (the highest award) from the National Speleological Society.  He has been 
a keynote speaker at numerous conferences and has been the president of the 
Karst Waters Institute and now serves on their board of directors.
