Ha Ha! Yes, some of the critiques of the movie are over the top. This sort of
CaveTex chatter happens whenever blue northers or Gulf hurricanes blow in and
no one can actually get out and go caving. Perhaps this weekend...

This was just a movie right?  Not a documentary?  I thought it was just all
about special effects in a story line that hasn't really been done (if there is
such a thing..) before.  I didn't go for the believability nor to critique bad
caving techniques.  If you hold the same standards true across all genres, Top
Gun sucked, all of the Indy-Jones movies (okay, the last one really did
suck..).  I go to the movies for the purpose of getting lost in the story line,
not holding it to my superior technical standards.  Avatar?  come on, does
anyone outside of James T. Kirk actually fall in love with a green / blue
female from another planet?  If I wanted 100 percent technically correct, I
would have signed up for a caving seminar!

Oh, I actually kind of enjoyed the movie as a whole.  I was actually hoping for
the
blind-cave humanoids to wreak some havoc!

Respectfully,

Roger
