Seems one was on rope (up or down???) in a water fall and got in some kinda trouble and the other one rigged a second rope and rappelled to help. The ropes got tangled and neither of them had the expertise to climb (or rappel) under those conditions. Both were wearing minimal clothing--shorts and T-shirts according to the report--instead of wet suits which are indicated for Warm-up Pit. --Ediger
