In a similar vein - about four years ago he'd just bought a Honda scooter
and wandered westward investigating out of the way campgrounds looking for
cavers (?) or places cavers might like to hang out at... Locklear chronicled
the whole awful trip in mind-breaking detail. Oddest thing - it was the
same weekend that Crash held the 'annual guano gathering' which I attended -
starting in the Dallas area, making a stop in Houston then toward San
Antonio.
I figured I crossed David's path twice - maybe three times. He made
absolutely no attempt to make it to Bracken Bat Cave although he probably
was less than 20 miles away on his way back to Houston.
