Mark,

Somewhere in the recent past I thought I heard there were nearly a thousand
cavers (including us spelunkers) in Texas that were still kicking. I may have
misheard but if this is true, TSA should have 500 paid members. Where is the
loyalty to our fine organization which has such admirable goals. I have liked
bats for over fifty years. They are not only unique but extremely beneficial to
our environment. BCI does great work towards education and preservation and the
goals of TCR, TCMA and TCC are directly related to those of BCI. What is
difficult to understand is why more do not support (become members) of these
worthy organizations when the cost is so low. I get much more enjoyment from
attending TCR or the convention than just about anything I do. OK, don't tell
me to get a life. If crying out loud brought Ediger back into the fold, we need
to cry to a few others. It's nice for a short guy to be able to get up on a
soap box once in a while.

Fritz

Great news, Ron!

Actually. the TSA has around 180 paid memberships. This includes single,
student, library, and family.

If you add up all of the members, it's well over 200.

Our list of registered members to the online TSA Members Area is still stuck at
99, unless we've had some folks join recently.

It's fantastic to have all of these longtime cavers still actively caving, as I
hope to be for decades more, and it's even better to see these prodigal members
come back home to the TSA.

Heck, Ediger even re-joined, for crying out loud!

Just shows to go you the good things that can happen when you put bad blood and
speleopolitics aside and concentrate on what makes the TSA so special:

Friendship, fellowship, and safe caving and conservation!

Welcome back, Mike, and look forward to meeting you.

And thanks to all of you who have recently joined, re-joined, or recently
renewed your dues after I posted the "Most Wanted" list a while back.

We appreciate your support and want to work with you on improving the TSA and
it's support of cave exploration, conservation, education, protection, and
camaraderie in Texas.

We're all in this cave together!

Have a great summer and cave safely!

Mark

We have a winner ! I just received a membership letter and check from Mike
Furrey of Spring, Texas. Mike says he has been out many years but has recently
become an active caver again and that traffic on TexasCaver list also
influenced him to join.

There you go Mark ! I will forward this to Treasurer Darla Bishop in the near
future.

Ron Ralph, Mailman

We now are at 99 (visible) online TSA Members.

Yeah!

Who wants to sign up as a new member and put us at/over 100?

Be the first on your block and join before midnight tomorrow!
