On a cave archeology project I am working on in Belize, we have been doing
drops up to 30 feet with aluminum extension ladders. In one cave, I rig the
70 foot entrance drop with two extension ladders with the need to cross a
ledge and do a short climb down between the ladders. It is kind of scary
but it is the easiest way to get the archeologists into and out of the cave.
Rigging and derigging the ladders is always fun!
