Hi folks,
We’re making the call.
It’s pouring rain here at the office. This is a really tough decision to
make because of the level of effort we’ve all put into making Cave Fest a
success. After spending time at the preserve and under current
conditions, we don’t have the resources to remediate after a wet Cave Fest
(think ACL)!!!!
Cave Fest is
officially cancelled for this weekend due to wet conditions. We’re going
to reschedule for Groundwater Awareness Week’s Saturday.
Please mark your calendars for a great spring Cave
Festival—Saturday, March 13, 2010.
Please let all your volunteers
know. We’ve attached a cancellation flyer, too. Please post and
share!
Our website is updated.
Cancellation flyers are posted at the preserve. And we’re meeting with
KXAN to talk about Cave Fest and the recent rains, so notice will likely go out
on tonight’s news also.
If you get calls, feel free to
route them to Jules at 289-1336. She’ll have her cell on all Saturday.
