Two speleologists dead and one wounded in Perm Territory 08.11.2009, 11.18 PERM, November 8 (Itar-Tass) - Two speleologists died and one was heavily wounded in the Perm Territory as a result of a cave-in at the Rossiiskaya cavern, Gubakhi district, Itar-Tass learnt at the territorial EMERCOM branch. According to chief of the Emergencies ministry press-service Valery Tiunov, the ministry received a report on the incident at 08.10. The speleologists reported that rocks caved in at the Rossiiskaya cavern, located seven kilometres from the city of Gubakhi; five people turned to be under the debris. In Tiunov’s words, one of the speleologists managed to get out of the cavern and called his colleagues from a camp for help. Together they extricated another person. The speleologists could not release the remaining three and called for the rescuers. A group of rescuers extricated the other three people from under the cave debris. Two of them were dead, while the third was seriously wounded. An EMERCOM group - firemen, rescuers, police and members of the local prosecutor’s office – 32 people in all - and eight units of machinery work at the place of the accident. The cavern is inside the Kizelovsky speleological area of the West-Ural speleological province. The entry to it was spotted in 1983. _http://www.itar-tass.com/eng/level2.html?NewsID=14508539&PageNum=0_ (http://www.itar-tass.com/eng/level2.html?NewsID=14508539&PageNum=0)
