Folks,

I'm pleased to announce that the Edwards Aquifer Authority's next Distinguished 
Lecture will be by Dr. Will White, Professor Emeritus in the Department of 
Geosciences at Pennsylvania State University and Dr. Bet White, Retired Senior 
Research Associate with the Department of Civil Engineering also at 
Pennsylvania State University.  Will has authored 426 journal articles and 10 
books including his 1988 textbook, "Geomorphology and Hydrology of Karst 
Terrains.  Bet is a fellow of the American Association of University Women and 
has published more than 50 journal article and co-authored the Book, "Karst 
Hydrology: Concepts from the Mammoth Cave Area" with Will.

They have both been active in karst research for more than 50 years and will be 
speaking on the topic of Karst Science in the 21st Century - Accomplishments

The lecture will occur on Friday, October 9, from  9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 
Southwest Research Institute.  The cost of the lecture is $20 and includes 
lunch and refreshments.  Reservations are require and may be made by contacting 
Elida Bocanegra by phone at 210.222.2204 or by email above.  Seating is limited 
and reservations are based on a first come first served basis.  If you are 
unable to attend, reservations must be cancelled by October 7.
