Jill,
Your photo strains the eyes but I think we might have one or two similar shelters in west Texas. Please send a jpeg or tif file with many dpi to the Texas Speleological Survey and we will compare your shot (s) with our files for best fit. I'm looking for a cave for a filming location for the Smithsonian's new Hall of Human Origins. The exhibit highlights archaeological findings from Shanidar Cave in present-day Kurdistan. We're looking for a "stand-in" cave, where we can film our host//scientist in a location that looks as similar as possible to the actual cave. Here's a photograph of Shanidar Cave, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Texas caves which have a similar appearance from the outside. (I can send larger photo if you're interested) Thanks very much for your advice. --- Jill Singer Chedd-Angier-Lewis 70 Coolidge Hill Rd.
