OK , What area? Do you wish to stay close to the park since you want to go
there? Or do you want something in the High Guads? Those caves are an easy 2
hours drive time from camp site to town or park. They can be hard to find and
require long hikes in many cases plus you may need a pre-approved trip leader.
McKittrick Hill is closed except for resto and I posted my dates for this years
permits already & they don't match your dates. There is Wind aka Hicks with a
15 foot drop that is close to the park. I usually use a cable ladder as that
seems to work best...And it is an all day cave easy.  Need more info to better
advise.

I'm looking at oct 3-5 right now, and will only be able to hit 1 or
two caves... beginner vertical, not over 75 feet.  I wanted to give
most of a day letting everyone do the tours at Carlsbad, can't be in
that area without hitting it, its well worth it.

Do you have something in mind that is suitable?

I will be out working on the Carlsbad resto over thanksgiving, and
perhaps I can hit one of the other weekends, depends on work :)

I'm stuck at work right now or would call you, so maybe email for just now.

Thanks
Charles
