The Alamo Area Boy Scouts Council in San Antonio, TX is looking for someone to lead their rope course program from June 7th to July 25th 2009. Location: Bear Creek Boy Scout Camp in Kerrville, TX (Where ICS will be this summer!!!) The program is called Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience (COPE). It comprises a series of outdoor challenges, beginning with basic group initiative games and progressing to more complicated low-course and high-course activities. Some of these events involve a group effort, whereas others test individual skills and agility. Participants climb, swing, balance, jump, and rappel as well as think through solutions to a variety of challenges. You will also be instructing rock climbing and rappelling. You will work with about 12 boys per week- ages ranging from 13-17. You will receive a week of training before going. Your room and board will be free at Bear Creek and you will get paid for your work.
