Congratulations on your very large part in the recovery of these most important 
historical artifacts. Please submit a lengthy, detailed article to The Texas 
Caver for all of us to enjoy. It can be "OT" but should be of interest to all.

I have a very nice steel cannon ball which was excavated from the battlefield 
area maybe fifteen years ago. It is approximately the size of a silver dollar 
and was found among a rusted hulk of weapons and battlefield equipment. I was 
told that it was probably from a civil war skirmish which was reported to have 
occurred in this area. I would like for you to see it and to discuss the 
details of its finding.
