Last week Diana Tomchick, Emily Zuber (Anacortes, WA), Charles Fromen, and I were caving together in the Southern Mexico state of Guerrero. We took a tour of Grutas de Juxtlahuaca, a national park. I helped explore and map this cave in 1971, before it was a national park, and when there was a dirt footpath to it. This is a video of our cave guide, Andres Ortega, playing drapery formations like bongo drums. The Ortega family has guided people in this cave for more than 50 years.
