Folks,
I have a water level measuring instrument in Devils Sinkhole which I need to remove on Saturday. I'm looking for one or two folks (toadies) that are vertically competent to go along and help. This is a one day trip scheduled for Saturday, May 2. Devils Sinkhole is located near Rock Springs, Texas, approximately 2 hours west of San Antonio. I would like to enter the cave in the early to mid morning. You must have your own vertical gear, know how to use it. Be able to change from rappelling to ascending and back to rappelling (be able to do a change over) and not have a fear of heights (the drop is 145 feet). This should not be your first or even second vertical cave. I'm looking for more experienced folks - thank you. You must also follow decontamination procedures in that all of your equipment must be clean and decontaminated before you arrive on the property.
