Speaking of my favorite brand of foreign automobile, while I haven't checked
the fuel efficiency or if an optional engine is available, the new Honda CRV
sport utility is about the slickest looking vehicle of its kind. Believe it or
not, while possibly a bit larger, the new Saturn Vue SUV is also one sharp
looking vehicle. What's your take, David?

Subject: [ot_caving] hybrid car news

Honda confirmed today that late next year the Honda Fit will be
arriving in the showrooms with a hybrid model.

President Fukui also indicated that 2 other hybrid models would
be available - a sport performance car and along with the 2nd
generation of the hybrid Civic.

He said for certain that Honda would not explore plug-in Hybrids
in the near future and subtly indicated that Honda would stick
to nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Volkswagen reacted by dropping their plans to make a hybrid
vehicle anytime soon. Rumor is VW felt their customers where
not going to pay the huge addtional cost for the vehicle, especially
when consumers could choose a less expensive reliable Honda.
