The human brain pipes data in 3 dimensions, so why shouldn't a computer circuit? A CPU that could do that sounds like it has a lot of potential. It could possibly shorten the distance that data has to travel. Or possibly use less electricity to acheive the same characteristics. The article indicated that the idea would first be used in RAM to improve the memory in the computers.
