Update:
I quit the railroad in April and am now back in Texas. After a hiatus
of several weeks my internet access and email are back on line and,
hopefully, unchanged. I am back at Mockingburd 300; phone 410-303-1177.
If some of you don't know me please disregard this message. I have
pasted in some address lists from incoming emails with addresses I
didn't recognize but who might be friends--or who might not.
Some may get multiple copies of it.
Am in the process of rebuilding my house. Took 2 weeks off to go to
Mexico. Bev Shade and I did some stabilation work on the Conrado
Castillo field house which was beginning to sink and lean--foundation
troubles. Claudia from Monterey accompanied us. Some or all of us
went caving in Brinco and Desmontes and Entrada Franceses.
After finishing there Bev and I went to EspeleoCoahuila for 4
days--it rained for 3 of um. Went into several smallish but
interesting caves. Rode back to Austin Sunday with David Ochel as Bev
was hot to head back to South Padre and Wilson who had been missing
in Argentina for several weeks.
In June I drove out to Eastern Kentucky and bought 3000 feet of 30#
used mine rail and had it shipped back to
our railroad operation at Tick Acres in Hays County. Hopefully it'll
be enough to complete the first loop. Railroad construction is on
short rations for a time while Terry and I are each involved with
separate house building projects.
