I completely concur with Gill and Fritz, hooray for Hippie Chicks young and old! Now some might wonder why a fellow from the flatlands of Florida would be so interested in Texascaversdotcom. Here is the real reason. I've been to a few Texas caves, but wasn't all that impressed. I like the hill country pretty well, especially the fact that y'all have got plenty of rattlers and weird little salamanders, but I must say you should water your trees better, they are a bit puny for my taste. I do like Texas cavers however, especially those who in the early daze pioneered caving in Mexico, a country of which I am inordinately fond. For a poor kid from Washington DC their exploits were legendary, so I came to Austin on a pilgrimage at an early age. I will not forget my discovery of sandspurs in Terry Raines yard, or the endless dreary miles as I made my way to California for the "Summer of love" in 67 (Ya had to be there!). All that was well and good, but it was not until I came to the NSS convention in Bracketville in 94 that I took a serious interest in Texas. There I met the World's most sprightly and beautiful Caver babe and was stricken nearly dead on the spot. Ever since I have wallowed in unrequited love! Every time I hear a mention of Texas my mind wanders back. That's why I am on Texascavers, so I can get my fix. So let's hear it for Hippie chicks and caver babes of all sorts and ages! I have had them rescue my sorry ass, lead me to unimaginable wonders, join me on incredible adventures around the earth, share my bed, tie off my rope, give me wise counsel, cook dinner over a campfire, and break my heart. What more could a man ask for? Now on to bidness. Any and all Texas cavers who are coming to the convention are more than welcome to come to Weazelworld to camp and frolic. I can promise a totally strange and wonderful experience in the most beautiful forest in Florida! I've got canoes and cold beer, The alligators await so come on down! Sleaze
