What I found most interesting is how far the event propagated. People who where hundreds of miles from the epicenter reported feeling it - while recent seismic events in the south were not even felt near the epicenter (although yes, the difference between a 4.1 and 5.2 are more than 10x the energy - I understand). Then - really large quakes actually make the entire planet ring like a gong. Fascinating, to me - that we cling to such a dynamic and relatively active planet. -DC
