There was a photo released by NASA today of an unusual
geologic feature on Mercury.
In my opinion, it appears to have features similar to the photo
below:

But even more interesting, is at least one long and large lava
tube coming out of it.
If those streaks in the Mercury photo are Lava tubes then there
are at least 21 of them, and so there is the potential for a long hot cave.

What are these streaks if they are not lava tubes? Scientist on the
web are already calling them "solidified lava flows."
There also appears to be a hollow shaft in the center of the
outcropping.
I would say that Mercury has caves. If that is true, could
a microscopic organism survive in such a hot cave? What would it eat?
What would it drink?
Could a robotic probe explore a lava cave on Mercury?
I believe they are hoping for spacecraft MESSENGER to flyby planet
Mercury again in October.
