Just a couple of technical comments about Diane having questions and
being argumentative:
I have carefully reread Diana's post and cannot find that she had any
questions. She merely offered a reprint of an editorial which made a
blanket statement about what science is which offered support for it,
asking for no rebuttal or further discussion--just information
regarding what science is and a comment or two about what it isn't.
No where in her post or the reprint did I find even the slightest
argumentative structure. It was very matter-of-fact in its total
presentation and took no one to task for their personal points of
view--and asked for no rebuttal. Diana's intention seemed to me to be
to pass on information about a magazine article to friends and
acquaintances who might have an interest in the subject.
I do have to question, and with all due respect, Brian, your
knee-jerk reaction to a situation which was not related to her post.
Are you paying attention?
