Do you have a favorite caving book that you like to keep out on the coffee table?
I found this book yesterday ( in new condition ) in a used book store: http://www.angelfire.com/vt/monumentos/Release.html It is 9" x 12-1/2" with high quality full page color photos, like the one below: http://veja.abril.com.br/081299/imagens/fotografia3b.jpg Half the book is about the karst of Brasil, and there are several sections devoted to particular caves. It was published in 2000 and the author is Ricardo Siqueira. The book is mostly in Portuguese, but some of the articles are also in English. It looks like it is available for $ 48 on-line, but I lucked out and got it for $ 15. The other half of the book is about mountains and waterfalls, and that too is very interesting. Parts of Brasil are like another planet. And apparently, there are lots of caves down there.
