About 2 years ago, I reported that Pelican had a fully waterproof LED flashlight. It was way ahead of its time.
( the M8 8020 ) They have a new similar model but it is smaller and more practical for caving purposes. This one uses 4 AA batteries. I think it is lightweight enough to mount on the side of the helmet. One mounted on each side would give you plenty of light. This is the flashlight to carry in your pack for a thru trip in Honeycreek, or for some of the stream caves down in Mexico. It is called the Stealthlite 2410 ( PL ) and is available at scuba stores. The PL model gets you a glow-in-the-dark housing for the reflector. http://www.pelican.com/lights_detail.php?recordID=2410PL Check out the scroll bar on Pelican's web-site. That is cool.
